OLDER ADULTS PROJECTS
"Studies in Puppet Form Workshop" takes place in two-hour sessions once a week, over 15 weeks. In a series of sequential classes, participants learn how to use the body and puppetry to communicate character and action, improve body control and body language by exploring its full expressive potential, and gain a greater sense of self and spatial awareness. Each creative session not only promotes physical and mental health, but also underscores the idea that the body can be actively used to express identity through dance/movement and puppetry. The multi-disciplinary work will present vivid images and stories through spoken word, puppets, dance, music. It is a work that will reflect the full spectrum of feelings of love, from ultimate joy to depth of sorrow and loneliness.
The presentation will be accompanied by a talk-back where participants can share their experience and creative process with the audience.
